One of these three ideas has hurt me because ever since we started this Service Learning I have been real success because I've really help my group in a certain way while helping them to plan were the garden be by this time. I felt that I really help out my group. The second thing was doubt because I thought we never have this group. The reason I say it because of the way we were getting trouble because we never use to do our work as group and never stop talking.

The week of may 28 we have to go back to the Constitution Center and plan how we are going to figure out why we still don't have a spot and vote on it because we want to to start to do it because the Center needs to know. And I want in the middle because it stands out for the whole place and kids can go across the street.

The meeting on may 9 we plan that our group was going back to the National Constitution Center and figure out why we can't figure out why we couldn't have a certain spot. So we are going over there and and have everyone to agree on the spot they want and just do it and get it over with.

Yesterday we went to the National Constitution Center and we had to start to plan and think of where we were going to put the garden. We thought about it and we still didn't think about it because it wasn't everyone wanted but everyone still was thinking about about putting it in the middle and that is where I want it because it really stands out about the constitution center so next week we have to vote on it.

What was the theme of Mice and men was it for Lennie to really right for him to kill Curly wife or for them to kill the dog because it was making to much noise for them to all go to sleep and said you can have a new one. The theme of the movie was for Lennie and George to save up there money for them to get a farm.

The first reason for this theme was Lennie trying to get away from what he did in the start of the movie. Well he raped a girl that was in a red dress and they had to run away from their job to get there next spot. So they hide out and sleep in the woods so they can put back up in the morning and they do get their new job to help Lennie calm down. Was this first part the theme of the book.

My second reason for the the theme of the book was candy old dog who seemed to be much trouble for the men who said they couldn't sleep every night because it made so much noise while they didn't that much sleep. So they tell him he can have a new puppy because they much less noise. They took the dog and shot him in the head and that made all of them proud because they didn't have hear the dog no more. Was the big theme of the book when the dog was killed during the book.

The final reason of this theme of the book was to say was Lennie killing curly wife by mistake the really theme of this book. Because she came in the barn to talk to him and wouldn't talk back because of what George told him to do. Then after while they started to talk and she told him to feel him to feel on her hair and he did. After a while he kept doing it and she told him to stop but he couldn't stop his self and killed her.

In to all of this was that the theme of this was to kill the man he knew that for a long time before the other members got to him.

Tommorow I hope my group can come up with a better idea from last week because it was a group thinking for us to go to the National Consitution Center and think about we are going to put the garden at because we are still thinking about it as a group. So I hope we can think of a way we can go back and start doing the garden that needs to. This service learning needs to help our grade out.

What is the American Dream is it suppose for you to be the best person in the world to have money, wealth, or fame. Well for Lennie and George it was to own their own peace of land that was a farm. But in order for them to get that farm they get some money. In the movie they started off running away because Lennie did something bad and and both men had run away.

The reason for the American dream was for them to save up find their own farm and run it they want to. So they went to another farm were they can get work because Lennie was in real trouble. There at the farm getting to know each other but then here comes the boss son by the named Curly who was a boxer and hates big guys because he wasn't big for himself. He was keeping his left hand for his wife. Curly wife who was married to him and had no kind of relationship is that the American dream for most husband not talk to your wife.

My second reason that the old man candy had dog that he like for years and was killed because it making noise while the men were trying to get sleep during the night light. It that really the American dream shooting a dog because it old and it makes noise while your trying to sleep. The next day while working George goes in the barn to put something and Curley wife walks in and talks to him but he doesn't talk back but he did and the Curly walks in there and see wife talking to another man. That can't be the American dream because she talking to some other man.

The last reason for this American dream is Lennie had killed the little dog by accident and Curly come in the barn and talks him but he trying to avoid her because George told him not to talk to her. She told him to feel her hair and Lennie did and keep  rubbing her hair and she told him to stop but he couldn't. So he killed her by snaping her neck and ran out the barn. That is not the American dream. As soon the boys came looking for him Lennie had found and talk to George for the last time and shot him.

In conclusion to this essay it's has been a lot of American Dreams that be made and mess up if you don't try. So I say it was right for George to kill his friend Lennie he didn't want him to see the worst death that can happen to him. At the end of the book was sad.

Last week we did a planing for how we are going to find a way to plan something big for the National Constitution Center garden hopes. Well we didn't t go but we came up with ideas of everyone role in the group. The things I pick was being the time keeper because it seemed much easier for me to do for everyone in the group to tell people how much time would left in the group. This is a job for me to do.

  My plan for this meeting was like get everyone to agree on what our group can do to help the people with a new garden. So everyone needs to agree on what everyone likes and lets start to do it as a group. I hope I can bring some ideas that I like and hope everyone agree and we plan of how we are going to do it and how we are going to get there as a group. So lets have a group meeting that goes well.

As the second service learning meeting began we had to come up with an idea were our school louge was going to be at. So we went into two different groups and my group went around the school. We went in the fitness room four floor and fifth floor trying to get ideas for our student louge. Well it was long and we are still thinking about planting all over or the National Constitution Center.

Last Friday meeting was basied on how we going to plan our journey through the garden group. I think we have the best group in service learning all we need is for everyone to get on the same page. Well all the ideas sound good for the garden I'm interested in doing the planting for the National Constitution Center. Or another idea would be we just plant other gardens that have plants that have dead for a long time and planted them over again make it nice.So I want to see what the next meeting is going to be about.

NEWS ARTICLE

As yesterday on May 16,1930 we caught a man that is black and who is 6 foot 2 and 220 pounds his name Bigger Thomas he is wanted for killing a white girl that goes by the name Mary. Police say it was a party and the two coming home and they were really drunk and he went into the home and rape her at first and then put his hand over mouth while he hears her mother calling her at first. Police say that'' it was wrong sick twisted thing for a man to do that to woman who is help less''. So as her mother calling for her but she can't hear her because bigger has his hand over her mouth and chocking mary until she can't say anything but a few seconds later Mary dies and Bigger gets out of there quickly so he can't get caught in time and the police won't in time. Few days we catch this Bigger Thomas and put him on trial said police. As the results came we found guilty of all charges.

Application:

What questions would you ask of Bigger?

My first and last question for Bigger would be. Why are you so horny all the time? Bigger was masterbating with his friend in the movie theatre. Why would you masterbate in a movie theatre. Also his plans to have sex with Mary didn’t go the way he wanted it to go. Right in the middle of his act, Mrs. Dalton came in. Then he ended up smothering her to death with a pillow. Something is seriously wrong with Bigger.

Analysis:

What do you see as other outcomes for Bigger?

I could see Bigger going to jail for killing Mary. Mrs. Dalton could have caught having sex with Mary, instead of preventing him of the opportunity. There are many possible outcomes that could take place. But this already has had an outcome.

Synthesis:

Can you see a possible solution to Bigger’s problems?

Bigger could go and talk to one of his friends about his troubles. Or maybe, Bigger could go and see a doctor, about why his hormones are so high. Also he could she a psychologist about all of his troubles. For example, him trying to get money, sexual problems, and also he killed a woman.

Evaluation:

Is there a better solution other than killing Mary?

I really don’t know what I would have done, in that predicament. I probably would have tried to escape from the home quietly. I not sure if I would have had put a pillow over her face. But I believe that I would really just run. I don’t what you could have done in this case. But my first option would to run.

Later that night Bigger drove Mary to the Dalton’s home. Arriving there, Mary was to drunk to go into the house by herself. So a nervous Bigger, decides he will take to her bedroom. While in her bedroom, Bigger becomes a little horny and starts proceeding in sexual acts on her, until Mrs. Dalton enters the room. When she entered the Bigger became still like a statue. He knows that Mrs. Dalton is blind, but he is worried that Mary will alarm Mrs. Dalton that, Bigger is there. Mary starts to respond to her, so Bigger puts a pillow over her mouth. His action’s causes Mary’s accidental death.

This year as the whole school did NHD it seem like they weren't as hard to me because last year I was more focus on the topic. So this year I did a topic on slavery because I wanted learn more about this topic. So when I did get my topic I chose paper again because I felt it was more easier to do and I knew what I what was going to write down. So I wrote it all down and felt good because I done my paper and it needed to be read. When it was read by my social studies teacher Mr. Ackerman and he said it was good for what I did but I need to add my conclusion and more details to my paper. What I learned about this topic was that slavey did start somewhere else before the slave trades began happening. When I got my grade I got an 85 for my paper but I should have added more things.

As they all leave the movies they wanted to go and play some pool for some time and they all did. But mostly the two that was winning was Bigger and jack because they was so good at the game and they played at each so many times. And mostly the one that came out with the most wins was Bigger because he was so good at the game pool and won so much money. After they all left the pool hall they went to a party that was far away to go but they did. After the party Bigger went home with a girl name Mary that drunk just like him. They go in the house and up in her and trying make a move that he wants but she doesn't let him a voice is speaks saying '' mary'' but Bigger puts his hands over her mouth so she can't say a thing to let her know that she was home. A few minutes later she stops breathing and Mary is dead. After that Bigger got out the house quickly and ran as fast as he could so the cops wouldn't catch him.

This take place in a alley way where bigger is setting and waiting for friends so they can talk about how can find a way to get to the movies. So they can earn money so they can go to movies and they need it fast. So his friends arrive but it is only one bad thing is that G.H doesn't want to go though it because he thought they get caught and go to jail and he didn't want to go though with that type of thing. But Bigger kept getting angry with because he thinking that G.H wasn't going to do it for them to get the money. So G.H was all for it so he can earn money to get in the movie so they can chip in to get the movies. They all did an they were all there way to the movies. In the movies Bigger and jack are sitting together and they were masterbating to a part they saw that they like.

As this book took part in the tough times of the south side of Chicago during the 1930's were many blacks weren't being as equal as the white man. So the middle of the night everyone is sleep and tired so an alarm clock goes off and a voice goes off in a bad tone saying '' Bigger shut that off please I'm still trying to get some sleep''. So Bigger shut it off as he quickly made his way to the bathroom as got in the shower getting his self clean as he got out the bathroom and put his clothes and quickly is making his way to the kitchen and turn on the lights and sees a rat and does everything to try kill it but finally Bigger gets it and kills it and leaves the house to hang out.

Analysits: Richard Wright was point out that the it was tough during the 1930's where they didn't have big house it was just one room and you have to share the room and it wasn't alot of room to share and rat and thos kind of things will come in your house.

As my first year at constitution high school I did a project called NHD that I never heard about before and it was very hard for me to do and complete at the same time but this year will be different. Because my topic this year is about slavery because I wanted to focus on the whole tire story about some of it. So this year I hope I can do better then what I did last year. So I expect great things this year until it starts and ends during the time of doing it. Because I have the right stuff that I need for my topic and I will try and push my self harder like I have done before in my self. I pick this one because I wanted to focus on the history of slavery throughout the time during the 1700’s and 1800’s. So this year I really expect great thins for myself.
